Hotel Mohenjodaro

The third series in the Ajoka Theatre plays in Karachi staged yesterday. It was average to my liking because the content was not strong and there was no plot as such. Though had fun laughing on the lameness of dancing mullahs and Burkhey wali Ninjas running and screaming ‘Mullah Shaheed Hogaye’. Bas aiween tha! Incomparable to Bullah. Koi gal nahi, aakhir Bullah is the masterpiece as well as most authentic play of Ajoka.

I think Raheel completely missed the point. You cant go to see a play to compare with another one. Bulha was a different story all together. I think Hotel Mohenjodaro was wonderful. It was innovative, disturbing and yet enjoyable. Of course it was too close to reality. Adapting a short story into a gripping play is a big challenge and shahid Nadeem has done a wondergfful jhob again. Salute to his courage and creativity. Keep it up Ajoka!

media crazy, I didn’t like the mode seriously. Even if you don’t compare, I didn’t take anything home. It was just 1.5 hours over a lame play filled with laughter on a serious topic. Satire should also help.

    Refugee, for free.
